Answer the following questions:
1. What is a soap?
2. Do you watch soaps? If so, which soap is your favourite?
3. Can you name any famous actors/actresses that appeared in soaps before they became famous?
4. Make a list naming as many soaps as you can (French or English!)

Your teacher is going to write some information on the board. Look carefully at the information, and fill in the gaps. Where do the families live?
Now, look at the phrasebook:
- Where do you live?
- What type of home do you live in? (eg. house/apartment etc...)
- What kind of street do you live on? (eg. quiet/nosy etc...)
- Where do your neighbours live in relation to you?
- What are you neighbours like?
Activity 4 - Soap opera project
Choose a partner, and start writing your own soap opera. This project will run over the course of 3 weeks.
